Once I decided to carefully follow the directions, this app worked just as advertised. It has saved me (potentially) hours of work and frustration.

Time consuming, but finally a program that clearly gives you all the information you need to pick the keeper and delete the duplicates!

I like it. There is no photo with -at least- two or more duplicates. How does it happens? I don’t know, but Duplicate Photos Fixer solve it for me.

Otherwise it would be a great and fast app. Dear Developer, Is this the kind of review you want by provoking people with pop-ups? Not worth it so I will delete your app.

I am plagued with duplicate photos after trying to merge all my old libraries. I’ve tried other generic duplicate removal tools, but they don’t seem to recognize “similars” all that well. I purchased this app with high hopes, based on the reviews. It has a nice interface and is easy to use. On small libraries it works fine, though it definitely missed quite a few duplicates, i.e. two different digitizations of the same original paper photo at the same resolution. However, it seemed “good enough” for my uses. Then I ran it on my larger libraries (> 80,000 photos), and it crashed every time. It would choke bout 2/3 of the way through, though not in the same place every time. It was clearly a bug - quite likely in the memory management. I called support, and a guy from India proceeded to do a remote session on my computer, claiming that the problem was due to some “launchd” notices showing up in my logs. I had a nice argument with him about the irrelevancy of launchd to the app crashing. (If I were the typical consumer, I’m sure I would have been convinced by this guy that there’s something wrong with my system, rather than something wrong with this App. I may have spent countless hours reinstalling the OS or whatever. How many other people have been misdirected by “advice” like this?) So, after arguing back and forth, I finally convinced him to watch it run. We spent 30+ minutes together on the phone for him to watch it crash. Then he finally admitted that it was a bug. Nice waste of over an hour of my precious time to find a bug for them - plus the aggravation of having this guy tell me it was my computer rather than actually listening to me. All for a few dollar app. Can I get a refund for my time and aggravation?

Prior to testing the beta version of macOS Sierra, this was my go to application to solve the endless duplicate issue that comes with Photos, iPhones, and iCloud Photo Library. Now, when I try to add a library for cleaning, the applications returns the following error: “No photo(s) detected in the selected path(s)." To the developers of this application, please review this error and make the proper changes or make a different version available that will work with Sierra. Thank You, Great job otherwise.

I hate any app. that makes you give it a review or else it will continuously pester you with no “No Thanks” option available. It also creates another folder on your photos app. called Duplicate Photos. This is ridiculous after you spend much time and effort checking off what duplicates you don’t want. Thirdly, it makes you keep a photo even if you want to delete the original and any copy. MacPaw’s Gemini is by far a better app. to use because of these three issues. I really don’t know why it gets high marks….. probably because most people haven’t looked at competitor apps.

It crashed. It does not work. Using iMac El Capitan. Waste of money

I am sure this is a great tool for removing duplicates, but in my case I have 500GB+ of photos on a network attached storage server (NAS) box. Alas, only after calling their helpdesk did I learn that the product can only work with internal or USB attached HDD. I am sure there is some command line stuff I can do to fake a local drive, but I can’t be bothered. What I learned: don’t by this software if you need to manage duplicates on a NAS box.

I have several thousand photos stored and saved. Trying to put together a single collection of the best has taken me weeks. This product speeded up the finding of duplicates that may have been resized, or rescanned, keeping only the best for the collection. I’ve bought many duplicate finders. None are perfect for all needs but this is by far the most useful of all I’ve purchased.

I spend some good time on the app to figure out why it does not recognize my library, or delete any duplicate found. I think the app only support iPhoto, not the newer version Photos in most MacOS nowadays. Very disappointed! NOw i know why the app discount from $20 to $0.99 It is not compatible to newer OS Photos App, don’t buy

This applicaiton worked for me, so far as I know. I always move trashed photos (from this app or others) into a duplicate photos folder anyway and then at some point in time, move those off the hard disk onto a removable drive. If I made a mistake on which photo I deleted, I can always restore from these. There are no doubt photos where the “auto select” choice picked the wrong one, but I can’t think of a better method than this at this point in time - i.e. not deleting the files by emptying the trash, but saving them just in case.

I ran this on my Macbook. I’ve run a similar product on my iPad and is was clumsy. This is elegant and FAST, excellent recognition of duplicates. Very pleased with it.

I was able to remove the duplicate photos and they went to the trash instead of deleting forever. It was easy to drag the pics into the app. I like the option to auto mark the pics for deletion. However, I wasn’t able to chose between the original photo and the (1) photo. I would’ve preferred to have the original document vs. the (1). It was wonderful being able to do this on the app instead by deleting by hand.

I just cleaned up over 8000 photos. I went through most of them and they were all duplicates. It freed up alot of room. Gtreat App

I like the app. i had a lot of duplicate and a lot of close dups. it suggest you check them. i am glad i did if they were close i got rid of the one that took up more space . i have almost 4 GB space saved. I am very happy with this app. i am also glad i got it on sale.

worst ever…gets you to buy and then scans and then wants you to buy more to see results
