Used a small sample of 300 photos with three known EXACT duplicates… they were not found under any setting. Thank God I only spent a $1.14… if the developer has any decency, they will reimburse me my money; not holding my breath.

Does exactly what they promise. What more can you ask for?
Works well, worth the price (buy this version, worth it over the free one). French translation really bad.
With a photo album heading over 38k photos, manual management is pretty much a non-starter. In less than 5 minutes, this app revocered 3.7 gigs of space from my library. Highly recommended.
Good little program, works as advertised but seems unable to work with network shares where the trash can is turned off / disabled. A preference to disable copying to the trash (i.e. delete immediately) would be appreciated. Annoyingly keeps asking for a rating and displays in-app adverts. I’d buy it again at the discounted price just to avoid writing a bash script to do diffs and md5 sums.
It would not work with my iPhoto. I kept getting an error message saying I need iPhoto version 9 (which I have). I called their technical support. They advised me that my computer was just too old and tried to sell me other services (optimizing my mac, etc). I wanted this software to work, but sadly it did nothing.
I downloaded it and it found and erased my duplicates in iPhoto one time. The second time I ran it - an hour later after uploading more photos - it told me that it couldn’t access my iPhoto library because it only supports iPhoto 9 and up. My iPhoto is 9.4.3, and besides, it already performed the task once. This software is just faulty, and they know it (I wondered why they were only charging a buck for what they claim is a $20 product)
Founf 48,000+ duplicates. Freed up 130GB of space. On my way to get more organized!
I used Duplicate Photo Fixer to scan my library of over 20K images. The good: - I did not have any problems with stability or performance. Never crashed and scan completed in seconds. - The settings for specifying how images are matched are quite comprehensive and easy to set. - You can even specify a “Matching Level” after the scan to filter which duplicates it will display. - metadata for the photos are displayed on the side What could be improved: - Tried to find keyboard shortcuts so that I can quickly select, view, compare and mark duplicates with having to constantly go to the trackpad on my MacBook. Perhaps these exist but I could not find them. - The images that are displayed are larger than a typical thumbnail but in many cases not big enough to help me choose which image to discard. It would be very handy to enlarge a set of duplicates and to be able to quickly flip back and forth between them so that I could quickly see the differences and choose one photo over the other. Again, if this feature exists, it is not easy to find.
it is going to take a while, but certainly helps clean up libraries. I am very happy with it and support
Follow the directions and there will be nothing but success. Pro version worth the few extra bucks (it was on sale when I purchased). Pro version lets you start with exact duplicates (safe start) then progress to duplicates by another name and resolution (trickier). Auto mark with default rules keeps the higher res image with the most meta data. :) :)
It seems so quick that its hard to believe it can read so many thousands of files so quickly. I did about 60,000 photos in five minutes total!
I got around 80,000 picture finally paid $1.00 plus to removed around 20,000 picture in 30 min also save 20Gb space from my mac
When you have 800 duplicates , it is really worth it instead of going by hand
I had over 61 gigs of pictures many of which were duplicates. Other more expensive apps couldn’t handle the amount of photos but this one had it all sorted in under an hour. Great app only other feature i would want is being able to move duplicates to a folder instead of trashing them. Highly recommend.
So good, I bought the Pro version. Thanks.
It said it moved 2617 photos, but only 400 showed up in Photos folder Duplicate marked photos
I had it on free for limited time and for my part it was the best I had!! I’ve tried about 7-8 different ones and only this one did the job quick and easy! I could choose all the files I wanted not only Iphoto. I picked 3 different folders I had photos in and no problem at all! Regained 9gig!
Every time you use it, it will nag you to review it. I should not be annoyed everytime I use a product I paid for.
Sadly my photos are not well organized and there are thousands of them going back years. Other duplicate finding apps never found much but this program found lots. I reviewed and set the filtering and it worked very well. Yes, it asked for the review but it’s easy to say no. It’s a little annoying but the app works great and that’s more important to me than a request to rate.
