I just wish it could be a little more sensitive or do batches of dates where a bunch of photos were taken at the same location

I recenlty bought a new MacBook Pro and iPhone and somehow I ended up with multiple multiples of the same photo, nearly a few 1000 extra photos. The diffence in speed on my new laptop is incredible but the app found all the duplicates and I freed up nearly a gig of memory in just a minute. Love it, and so with the $1.39 upgrade!

It’s a great app an usefull for work and personal use. The only thing that I don’t like is the fact that I get asked to rate everytime I “Trash Marked”. One review is enough.

I do not often proceed to write reviews; but this time, I feel compelled to. I just migrated my Aperture Library to Photos version 1.5 in El Capitan 10.11.6 and somes of my originals did not follow the obvious path! …and I ended up with "double originals”. Perhaps I also had some despite my meticulous care. Anyhow, Duplicate Photo Fixer Pro showed me some 359 duplicates on a library of almost 20,000 originals; I am impressed! …and all that within some 20 minutes or so...

Pretty great! The app matches photos based on more than just the file name, finding photos that are identical but stored in different sizes/resolutions and/or with different names. It even finds photos that are very similar but not identical, yet it doesn’t over-do this with a lot of irrelevant matches. For example, it found photos of people at a dinner table and grouped as potential duplicates several shots that were taken seconds apart, nearly the same but not identical. Despite this seemingly-error-prone ability, out of ~5,000 photos and ~600 groups of possible duplicates all have been reasonable for consideration as dupes. Images are displayed large-enough and clear-enough (on a 15” Macbook Retina) to make many decisions based on appearance alone (such as photos which differ only in the filters applied to them). Any photo can be double-clicked for a fuller-sized view of it, and any photo can be clicked to see the full metadata for it so it’s easy to click among proposed dupes and decide which one(s) to keep. Click check on the ones to trash and move on… a bulk-delete awaits at the end which concludes with a satisfying summary of # of files deleted and disk space cleared to reward your effort. (It would be nice if this was reported on a running basis, showing growing # of dupes selected for deletion and total disk space as the dupes are being selected.) Nice app!

The app finds duplicates acuratly and allows you to compare the results to prevent mistakes. I saved lot of space in my computer.

The album can be made automatically. But the photo can’t move to new alubum at picture. I need another good APP. I want to be refunded. 最悪です。他の方もおしゃっていますが、スキャンするまではいいのです。そしてアルバムも作られますが、肝心の重複写真が移行しない。 そのため、全く機能を果たしません。他のAPPが必要です。返金してほしい。

Powerful and versatile. Works to clean your Photos library, which can often pick up duplicates from bad iPhone syncs, settings glitches, etc.

I don’t like apps which: 1. Ask me to make review every time I use it and states that it is „required” even if it is required once 2. Doesn’t refresh it’s caches so it shows all the time the same duplicates which were already deleted 3. Shows select boxes but doesn’t allow to select them 4. Doesn’t have e-mail to support 5. „Support” uderstands as reading support articles 6. Offers only telephone support which is „toll free” but there is no info about country the number is from (so no international prefix). Apart of above app almost does what it should

I will keep running the app as I am always full of doubles…

I have tried twice, it create the folder duplicate but it’s always empty. I have followed the instruction, I have scanned the library photos, it find 2000 duplicate photos, than create the folder “duplicate” in the App photos but this is always empty.

The app does not move the duplicateds photos into the “ duplicates imagess folder “ of iphoto ( on mac OS X 10 ). The app, search, scanns finds the duplicates, but not mooves. Is impossible delete the duplicated images ( only with Iphoto )

I scanned a smallish Photos Library (under 8000 items). DPFP seemed to hang for quite a while. I came back to computer and followed instructions: mark and then trash marked, opeienning Photos when I was asked by the screen. Photos said my library could not be opened and attempt to repair it didn’t work. Looking for an email for support, could not find, only India based phone number… Obviously I hate an app that corrupted my perfectly fine library on first use...

Easy to use. Very effective. To get 5 starts, the explanation on how to delete photos could be even clearer
