Does not work with non-USB external drives

I am sure this is a great tool for removing duplicates, but in my case I have 500GB+ of photos on a network attached storage server (NAS) box. Alas, only after calling their helpdesk did I learn that the product can only work with internal or USB attached HDD. I am sure there is some command line stuff I can do to fake a local drive, but I can’t be bothered.
What I learned: don’t by this software if you need to manage duplicates on a NAS box.
